The above could be parsed today as a borrow of a struct expression like some_variable { messages } or, more verbosely, some_variable { messages: messages }. I’m not sure what to do about that. I’ll note some alternative syntaxes below, but I’ll also note that it would be possible for the compiler to parse the AST in an ambiguous fashion and disambiguate later on once name resolution results are known.
